SA Authors are writing about these Equity REIT stocks
- Seeking Alpha authors often write articles on Equity REIT stocks.
- This week there were several articles written that provide excellent analysis on several Equity REITs that readers will find of value
- Introducing 8 articles and the “I Prefer Income” database summary table of key info and metrics on each company.
This article was written by Richard Hill / I Prefer Income!
We are fortunate that there are articles written each week about Equity REIT stocks from Seeking Alpha authors. There are so many securities in the marketplace that it is difficult to track and analyze them on a timely basis. Even though the “I Prefer Income” website and database programs provides a wealth of information on almost all Equity REIT stocks, it is great to have analysts write in-depth articles about companies and stocks that we might be interested in. Not only does it keep us informed, but it also helps us to learn how others analyze companies. One good thing about investing is that we can never learn enough.
With that said, if there are enough articles written during the week, I will recognize those articles and provide a link to the article with some key information from the IPI database that will allow the reader to review the stock in question. Table 1 displays the articles written, including the company symbol, the author, the title and link to the article. Table 2 includes information and a few of the key metrics taken from the “I Prefer Income” database.

The following table includes key info and metrics on each REIT discussed in the articles
(Table 2. Source, I Prefer Income)
To read the table properly, the symbol is listed in the left cell and all info and metrics are then provided in the row. The securities are grouped into 4 important financial areas: Dividends, Earnings, Payout Ratios and Debt Ratios. These metrics are highlighted with different colors and provide a great first review of the issues and lays the foundation for further analysis. There are a few things that I should mention:
10 Year Median Yield: Note the difference between Forward Yield and 10 Year Median Yield. If Forward Yield is higher than the median, it may mean that the stock is undervalued based on historical averages. There are only 2 stocks where the Forward Yield is less than the 10 Year Median Yield. That could mean those stocks are overvalued on a historical basis.
Dividend Diamonds: These are companies who have increased their dividend every year for at least 5 years. This group of stocks has several including O and SKT with 26 years of consecutive increases.
Earnings: All companies report Non-GAAP earnings listed in Type Payout. Non-GAAP earnings are provided in the database program. So just remember that the 5 Years and 5 Quarters values are based on GAAP earnings.
52 Week Stats: The 52 Week Low and High show where the company stands in relation to the 52-week prices. MAC and TCO are near the 52-week lows and LPT and O are near the 52-week highs.
TTM P / NG-E (Price to Non-GAAP Earnings): Since all companies report Non-GAAP earnings, this report provides this metric instead of P/E (which is based on GAAP earnings).
K-1: All companies issue 1099
